Senior Automation QA Engineer

The Senior Automation QA Engineer will be primarily responsible for setting up the testing framework for integration tests with microservices and frontend testing using Cypress. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the quality assurance procedures within our team, influence the product, and help us achieve the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the automation framework for our microservices architecture.
• Utilize Cypress for the front-end testing of our React applications.
• Write and implement test cases to provide full coverage for functionalities.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
• Evaluate, troubleshoot, and test the software repeatedly to detect flaws.
• Report on the status of quality, system efficiency, and unresolved issues to the team and management.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years in test automation
• Extensive experience in software QA automation, with a focus on web application testing.
• Strong proficiency in Cypress and Jest.
• Solid understanding of React and JavaScript.
• Experience with microservices architecture and understanding of its testing complexities.
• Excellent knowledge of different testing techniques and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to document and troubleshoot errors.

Not required, but you’ll stand out with experience/knowledge of:

• eCommerce experience is a big advantage;
• Knowledge of the SDLC in different software delivery methodologies;
• Understanding business processes and logic behind feature requests;
• Xray for JIRA;
• Ability to document and share knowledge with team members;
• Ability to identify related impact and risk areas of releases.
