(Junior) Technical Data Specialist (PEP / Sanctions)

As a Technical Data Specialist, you will be responsible for the automation of collecting and updating Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Sanctions Lists in our proprietary database. With your work you are actively helping customers to prevent money laundering and financial crime.

Responsibilities:

The cleversoft List Team is looking for junior position for a Technical Data Specialist with the ability to code in Python and/or other programming languages that will help facilitate web crawling and web scraping of specific data. This person should also be able to extract relevant data of Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Sanctions from databases and documentation to automate comparisons of data and identify discrepancies. The ideal candidate will be an “out of the box” thinker who is willing to develop creative solutions to complex problems. The aim is to enhance the level of automation in the data collection processes and convert manual work to automated process.

• Build automation processes to collect PEP and Sanction data with modern web scraping technologies;
• Automate deployment processes for the underlying Webservices;
• Identify appropriate information on Sanctions, analysing and developing new sanctions lists;
• Work with all members of the List Team to ensure the quality and timeliness data collection;
• Present findings to the supervisor;
• Ensure that all data is accurate and properly organized;
• Continuously improve the data management processes in a team approach.
