    Job Description:

    We are seeking a Data Ops Engineer with a strong background in cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud, to join our team. This role is critical in building and maintaining a scalable, efficient, and highly available data operations environment. You will collaborate closely with data engineers and other IT professionals to streamline data workflows, ensuring optimal data quality and accessibility.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement robust data operations frameworks and processes to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
    • Manage and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.
    • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure the health and availability of the data platform.
    • Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility.
    • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of data infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
    • Enforce data governance, security standards, and compliance across all data operations.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Data Ops or similar role, with a proven track record in managing data operations in a cloud environment.
    • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services related to data management (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, etc.).
    • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
    • Knowledge of data pipeline and workflow management tools.
    • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Desired Competencies:

    • Certification in Google Cloud Data Engineering or similar credentials.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
    • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact business operations.
