Senior DevOps

Viscomp Ltd. was established in March 2007 in Plovdiv as a branch of the German company WWWE Group, headquartered in Düsseldorf and represented in twenty-six cities around Europe. Viscomp Ltd. specializes in web programming, website development and support, web hosting.

Responsibilities:

• Builds, deploys and manages cloud services and related software by following SRE principles – specifically Azure, Gitlab, Openstack, Kubernetes;
• Increase the observability of Infrastructure, Application and Network components;
• Analyze logs and metrics to uncover root causes as quickly as possible;
• Consults with project and product teams in the best use of cloud services;
• Implements and shares DevOps culture across delivery teams and company;
• Find opportunities for automation throughout the DevOps process that will improve the team’s toolchains and efficiency;
• Documents existing processes;
• Applies good communication skills with team and client interaction.

Requirements:

• Extensive DevOps engineering experience (3+ years);
• Extensive Linux knowledge;
• Solid networking knowledge;
• Knowledge of at least one public or private cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack);
• Containers & container orchestration: Docker, Container, Kubernetes;
• Experience with Git;
• CI/CD concepts and workflows, preferably GitLab;
• Programming: Python/Bash scripting;
• Experience with monitoring, metrics and log aggregation and alerting tooling (Prometheus, Beats, Kafka, ELK/EFK stack, Grafana, Alertmanager);
• Configuration management: Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Salt Stack;
• Experience with distributed storage systems (Ceph, Storage Spaces);
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to quickly learn and pick up new technical concepts;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Attention to detail;
• Fluency in English.

Bonus points for:

• Infrastructure as a code (Terraform);
• Experience with Helm, HAProxy Load balancing;
• Familiarity with container security and cloud-native and SaaS Security management tools.
