Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, with relevant experience in distributed systems to help us build next-generation realtime data platforms. If you have a consistent track record designing & building core features in large scale systems and enjoy solving intriguing distributed system challenges at internet-scale, and have a great balance on learning, organizing, building, and enjoy making an impact, this role might be a great for you!

We are a data streams team responsible for the company’s real-time data features, offering data movement and data computing while data is in motion. We are also at the forefront of powering the foundations of eventing based architecture.

Here’s a quick snapshot of the job responsibilities:

• Design & develop high performance, scalable geo-distributed streams & stream processing.
• Design and develop REST API and integration points for various platform services.
• Bring in knowledge of industry best practices and evolve our technology footprint.
• Ability to lead/inuence positive change/results in all areas of software development amongst a talented team of engineers.
• You thrive on learning new technologies and don’t believe in one-size-ts-all.

And here are the requirements:

• 10+ years of industry experience in Java building high performance distributed event driven systems.
• Experience in stream processing engines such as Apache Flink, Apache Samza, Apache Spark, Apache Apex, etc.
• Experience building core features for high volume fault-tolerant, high-availability, and globally distributed systems in a Linux environment.
• Broad understanding in the Data Platform ecosystem, including but not limited to storage engines, compute engines, and abstractions.
