(Senior) Network Security Engineer, Enterprise Operations

Role Summary:

The (Senior) Network Security Engineer, Enteprise Operations will be technical escalation point for providing concise and relevant action plans for teams to resolve network and customer issues efficiently and in a timely manner.

The team manages and maintains enterprise solution of the top customers for GTT during European Business hours and consists of highly skilled network secuirty engineers, who are working on different solutions, vendors, and technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

• Technical escalation point for customer incidents and long term problems
• Owns incidents, resolves them swiftly and drives through to final fix, working with customers and other internal and external teams as appropriate.
• Working with the vendors TACs in regards to platform issues
• Provides concise and relevant action plans for teams to resolve network and customer issues efficiently.
• Working on broad range of IP and Security products: IPVPNs, SD-WAN, Security, etc
• Uses detailed understanding of operational capabilities to support operations acceptance of new infrastructure and non-standard bids.
• Pro-active problem management based on technical and trend analysis to ensure service stability and preventative action taken where possible
• Configuration of network elements and migration of services
• Ensure operational processes are followed and deliver best-in-class technical support while maintaining a stable and resilient network.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 2 years experience within Operations environment of a Service Provider or System Integrator
• Minimum two years of work in a technical IP or Security support position.
• General knowledge of telecom industry and standards
• Excellent fault diagnostics and trouble-shooting abilities
• Must have good understsanding of ISP network fundamentals: IP, MPLS and routing knowledge (BGP, OSPF)
• Good to have knowledge of SD-WAN, WAN optimizations, NFV, security
• Good to have completed any vendor professional certification tracks for Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks or Fortinet
