    OPPORTUNITY

    ​We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mid-Level Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team. As a Mid-Level Cloud Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions that meet our business needs.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES​ ​   

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of our cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on AWS services.
    • Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our cloud resources.
    • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and maintenance processes.
    • Collaborate with software development teams to design and deploy scalable, fault-tolerant applications on AWS.
    • Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs through capacity planning, rightsizing, and workload optimization.
    • Perform security assessments and implement necessary measures to protect our cloud infrastructure and data.
    • Lead incident response efforts, analyze root causes, and implement remediation plans.
    • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, assisting them in their professional growth.
    • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
    • Contribute to the development and documentation of standard operating procedures and policies.

    WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE   

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
    • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda,      CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
    • In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu) and proficiency in shell scripting.
    • Proficiency in at least one scripting language like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
    • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (e.g.,      Terraform).
    • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
    • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis.
    • Solid knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in a cloud environment.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
    • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desired.
