    The Senior QA Engineer II aids in creating and maintaining testing automation stack for the web application used by internal and external clients. This includes migrating, supporting, designing, and developing the existing test suite and participating in product development discussions and plans. This role helps to facilitate high-quality feedback to the development team using a combination of automated and manual testing, if necessary.

    The successful candidate will be a skilled engineer who can be the technical lead for the QA team and a team player who works with dynamic and highly productive teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • Migrate/Support/Enhance existing UI test suite
    • Technical Lead for the Automation QA Team
    • Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to define testing strategies, test plans, and release schedules
    • Participate in product development discussions
    • Responsible for keeping all automated tests valid, effective, and stable
    • Keeps automation coverage high and takes an automation-first approach
    • Collaborate with the development team, providing current status QA planning, test design, implementation, and execution that supports the team’s portfolio of applications across HedgeServ business solutions
    • Collaborate with QA members from other teams on testing strategies and tactical plans in areas that include software testing, QA/testing tools management, performance, and automation, as well as the support of release processes, application quality metrics, and reporting approaches
    • Participate in retrospectives and continuous improvement efforts with the team

    Requirements:

    • At least five (5) years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least three (3) years of focus on front-end automated testing with Selenium/ Playwright.
    • At least two (2) years of working experience with Python.
    • Ability to work independently in an agile and rapid product development environment.
    • Good programming skills – Python mandatory.
    • Solid understanding and experience with CI/CD.
    • Experience with multiple test automation tools – Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, Behave, SOAPUI, jMeter, etc.
    • Some scripting and simple task automation skills – Batch, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
    • Experience with agile software development, alongside exposure to release and change management practices.
    • Commitment to ongoing learning and self-improvement.
    • Experience with one or more testing frameworks is a plus – pyUnit, pyTest, MSTest, nUnit, TestNG, jUnit, etc.
    • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
