We are looking for the right person for the following vacancy: Image Quality Engineer

Job Description:

• Define detailed technical requirements and metrics for image quality
• Run image and video quality evaluations and verifications
• Capture images and conduct subjective image quality analysis
• Adopt, improve and create procedures for Image quality tuning, improvement and verification
• Perform lab tests for objective camera evaluation
• Provide PoC of solutions on simulated or target environment
• Work closely with development team to implement and optimize code for image analysis and processing
• Support development team through iterative testing

Qualifications

Must have:

• Understanding of conventional camera pipelines & operations and why they are necessary: sharpening, denoising, HDR & image fusion concepts, compression & video coding, etc.
• Excellent knowledge in color science, image processing and image quality.
• Experience working with subjective image quality.
• Working knowledge of IQ attribute such as color, tone, noise, and sharpness.
• C, C++ or Python knowledge and experience.
• Ability to develop software algorithms to assess and improve image quality.
• Focus on details, with strong analytical skills.
• University degree in Computer science (or equivalent).
• Excellent English and good communication skills.
• Self-managed, strong self-organization skills, and is eagerness to contribute.
• Good knowledge in photography and image quality.

Nice to have:

• Experience working in the camera software optimization field.
• Knowledge of image processing procedures.
• Experience in Photoshop and/or other image processing software.
• Knowledge/experience working on Automotive projects.
