    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Up2 Technology has been part of Strypes Group’s family since 2019.

    Their small but very experienced team has been working on some of the most interesting projects in our group while maintaining a friendly, almost startup-like culture.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development of high-quality, scalable, and resilient applications using Java with Spring Boot and Micronaut frameworks.
    • Spearhead the formation of a Java competency within the company, establishing best practices and guidelines for Java development.
    • Develop and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
    • Utilize containers (Docker/Kubernetes) for efficient deployment and scaling of applications.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure the successful execution of projects.
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
    • Drive innovation and stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in Java development.

    Requirements:

    Technical Skills:

    • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Java development, with proven expertise in Spring Boot and Micronaut.
    • Experience in forming and leading a Java competency within an organization.
    • Strong experience with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and web servers (Apache, Nginx).
    • Proficient in SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiar with NoSQL databases.

    Would be great if you have:

    • Experience working with devices and understanding of device integration.
    • Background in mobility and transport sectors, indicating an ability to tackle industry-specific challenges.

    Soft Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
    • Strong communication skills in English are a must, ensuring effective collaboration across global teams.
    • Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor junior developers and promote a culture of learning and innovation.
    • Proficient in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, including automation of build, test, and deployment processes.
    • Knowledge of best practices in continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies.
