Tihomir Petkov is co-founder and CTO of TaxiMe – the largest urban mobility platform in Bulgaria. He started his career freelancing while in college, then joined the Silverlight team at Telerik and later co-founded Human Record, the marketplace for historic and vintage images, with his partner Hristo Chernev. In 2012, with the support of Eleven Startup Accelerator, he and his partner founded TaxiMe and grew the company from a tiny 2-person startup to the market leader it is today.
Throughout the years, Tihomir built a varied experience – from design work in Photoshop to devops with bare metal, Azure, and AWS clouds; from front-end development for desktop and web through back-end services in .NET, Python, and Go to mobile apps on Android, iOS.
In this talk Tihomir will share his experience in building a mobile platform trusted by hundreds of thousands of clients and the various aspects of handling growing complexity and reliability requirements.
